To complement the new walking directions in Google Maps, I'd love to have a query for walking directions from Springer Mountain, Georgia to Mount Katahdin, Maine give you the Appalachian Trail.  (Right now, it gives you a backroads route.)

Why stop there?

We went up on the International Appalachian Trail on the Gaspé peninsula several years ago. The trail was barely marked, and the 3" high bushes at the top of the ridge were filled with fat blueberries. I would have loved to have had directions, instead of tromping on virgin krumholtz.
